Prof. Chi Man Pun, University of Macau, China
Chi-Man Pun (Senior Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2002, and his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from the University of Macau. He had served as the Head of the Department of Computer and Information Science, University of Macau from 2014 to 2019, where he is currently a Professor and in charge of the Image Processing and Pattern Recognition Laboratory. He has investigated many externally funded research projects as PI, and has authored/co-authored more than 200 refereed papers in many top-tier journals and conferences. He also has two US Patents granted and is the recipient of the Macao Science and Technology Award 2014. Dr. Pun has served as the General Chair/Co-chair and the Program/Local Chair for many international conferences. He has also served as the SPC/PC member for several top CS conferences such as AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc. His research interests include Image Processing and Pattern Recognition; Multimedia Information Security, Forensic and Privacy; Adversarial Machine Learning and AI Security, etc.



Prof. Marco Claudio Campi, University of Brescia, Italy
Marco Claudio Campi (IEEE Fellow) is a professor of Automatic Control at the University of Brescia, Italy, where he has taught topics related to data-driven control, systems theory, and inductive methods for more than twenty-five years. He is a distinguished lecturer of the IEEE Control Systems Society and, until recently, he has served as the chair of the Technical Committee IFAC on “Modeling, Identification, and Signal Processing”. He is a recipient of the Giorgio Quazza prize and the IEEE CSS George S. Axelby outstanding paper award received for the article "The Scenario Approach to Robust Control Design". He has delivered plenary addresses at major conferences, including CDC, MTNS, and SYSID. Marco Campi is a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow of IFAC. The research interests of Marco Campi include data-driven decision-making, stochastic control, epistemology, and the foundations and interpretation of probability theory.


General Co-Chairs

Prof. Daowen Qiu, Sun Yat-Sen University, China
Prof. Daowen Qiu received the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 2000. During 2000 and 2001, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in computer science with Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. Since August 2002, he has associated with Sun Yat-Sen University, and then a full Professor of computer science in May 2004. His current research interests include quantum computing, discrete event systems, fuzzy and probabilistic computation, and he has focused on models of quantum and probabilistic computation, quantum information. He is the author or coauthor of more than 180 peer-review papers published in various academic journals and conferences, including Information and Computation, Artificial Intelligence, Journal of Computer and System Sciences, Theoretical Computer Science, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Part B, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Physical Review A, Quantum Information and Computation, Journal of Physics A, and Science in China. He has served as editors or associated editors in international academic journals, including: Theoretical Computer Science;  Quantum Reports; Artificial Intelligence Evolution; Frontiers in Computer Science; Open Journal of Optimization.



Prof. Yi Zou, South China University of Technology, China
Prof. Yi Zou received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Si Chuan University, P. R. China, in 1997, M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2000, and Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Duke University in 2004, where he continued as a Post-doc Research Associate till end of 2005. From 2005 to 2007, he was a Sr. R&D engineer at Unitrends,working at enterprise-level file system and storage backup and recovery. From 2008 to 2020, he was with Intel Corp., working in products and research for computer systems as a Sr. Staff Research Scientist, particularly on networking, storage and memory. He is currently a tenured full professor at South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. Dr. Zou has published over 40 academic papers and over 40 patents in US and China. Dr. Zou is a Sr. IEEE Member and serves as frequent reviewer to IEEE TCOMP, IEEE T. Reliability, IEEE TCOMM, IEEE TPDS, JDSN, JWCMC, and many others. He also served on TPC ACM/IEEE SEC, IEEE NAS, IEEE ICWMC, IEEE CloudSummit, IEEE DataComp, etc. Prof. Zou's current research areas of interest are computational storate/memory, distributed memory/storage, edge computing, data/sensor fusion, and AI applications using new generation of compute, storage, memory, and networking technologies and architectures etc.

Prof. Yun Zhang, Sun Yat-sen University, China
Yun Zhang (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Ningbo University, Ningbo, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2010. From 2009 to 2014, he was a Visiting Researcher with the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. From 2010 to 2017, he was an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor with the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen, China, where he has been a Full Professor since 2017. In 2022, he will join the School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University as a professor. His research interests include digital image and video coding, computational visual perception, and machine learning.



Prof. Syed Abdul Rahman Syed Abu Bakar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor, Malaysia
Syed Abd Rahman Abu-Bakar received his PhD degree from the University of Bradford, England. He joined the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 1992. He is currently a full professor in the Electronics and Computer Engineering division. In 2004, he formed the Computer Vision, Video and Image Processing research lab and has become the head since then. His main research interest is in computer vision and image processing with applications in video-based security and surveillance, medical image processing, and biometrics. He has published more than 150 scientific papers both at national and international levels.



Asst. Prof. Ruidan Su, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China
Dr. Ruidan Su received his MSc in Software Engineering from Northeastern University, China in 2010, and his Ph.D degree in Computer Application Technology from Northeastern University, China in 2014. He was an assistant professor of Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences during 2015–2020. He is currently a research assistant professor with Department of Computer Sciences and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr. Ruidan Su is an IEEE Senior Member. He has published 22 papers in referred journals, conference proceedings. He was the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Computational Intelligence and Electronic Systems published by American Scientific Publisher from 2012-2016. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Granular Computing Published by Springer, an Associate Editor for the Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems published by IOS Press, a Review Board Member for Applied Intelligence. His field of science is artificial intelligence, system optimization, AI applications in medical image and finance.

Prof. Hui Yuan, Shandong University, China
Hui Yuan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunication engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2006 and 2011, respectively. In April 2011, he joined Shandong University, Ji’nan, China, as a Lecturer (April 2011–December 2014), an Associate Professor (January 2015-October 2016), and a Professor (September 2016). From January 2013 to December 2014, and from November 2017 to February 2018, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow (Granted by the Hong Kong Scholar Project) and a Research Fellow, respectively, with the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong. From November 2020 to November 2021, he worked as a Marie Curie Fellow (Granted by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship under Horizon2020 Europe) with the School of Engineering and Sustainable Development, De Montfort University, Leicester, U.K. From October 2021 to November 2021, he also worked as a visiting researcher (secondment of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships) with the Computer Vision and Graphics group, Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI), Germany. His current research interests include 3D visual coding and communication. He served as an Area Chair for IEEE ICME 2023, ICME 2022, ICME 2021, IEEE ICME 2020, and IEEE VCIP 2020. He serves as a member of IEEE CTSoc Audio/Video Systems and Signal Processing Technical Committee (AVS TC) and APSIPA Image, Video, and Multimedia Technical Committee.



Dr. Mukesh Prasad, University of Technology Sydney, Australia
Dr. Mukesh Prasad (SMIEEE, ACM) is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science (SoCS), Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. His research expertise lies in developing new methods in artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches like big data analytics, and computer vision within the healthcare domain, biomedical research. He has published more than 100 articles, including several prestigious IEEE Transactions and other Top Q1 journals and conferences in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. His current research interests include pattern recognition, control system, fuzzy logic, neural networks, the internet of things (IoT), data analytics, and brain-computer interface. He received an M.S. degree from the School of Computer Systems and Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, in 2009, and a PhD degree from the Department of Computer Science, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2015. He worked as a principal engineer at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Hsinchu, Taiwan, from 2016 to 2017. He started his academic career as a Lecturer with the University of Technology Sydney in 2017. He is also an Associate/Area Editor of several top journals in the field of machine learning, computational intelligence, and emergent technologies.

Prof. Xinmin Zhang, Zhejiang University, China
Xinmin Zhang is a Professor with the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology, College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in System Science from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2019. From April 2019 to December 2019, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Systems Science, Kyoto University, Japan. From 2020 to 2023, he was an Associate Professor at the College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. He has published more than 60 technical papers in peer-refereed journals and prestigious conference proceedings, including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems、IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence、IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics、Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence、Science China Information Sciences. He has received several research projects, including Scientific and Technological Innovation 2030 - "New Generation Artificial Intelligence", National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, and University-enterprise cooperation projects. He has been invited as a speaker and TPC member for several international conferences. His research interests include Industrial Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Big Data, Fault Diagnosis, Virtual Sensing Technology/Soft-sensor, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Deep Learning with applications to industrial processes.

Prof. Yuan-Kai Wang, Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taiwan
Yuan-Kai Wang (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from National Central University, in 1990 and 1995, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Institute of Information Science of Academia Sinica, from 1995 to 1999. Since 1999, he has been joining the Department of Electrical Engineering, Fu Jen Catholic University, as an Associate Professor, and as a Professor, since 2017. His research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition, neural networks, genetic algorithms, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, with special focus on video surveillance, face recognition, biometrics, robotic vision, embedded computer vision, and medical image analysis. Dr. Wang has been the chair, the co-chair, and a program committee member of many international conferences, and a reviewer of many journals and IEEE Transactions. He served the Chinese Image Processing and Pattern Recognition Society for the Board of Directors and Supervisors, from 2004 to 2022. He served the Information Service Association of Chinese Colleges for the Board of Directors, from 2005 to 2007. He was invited as a Panel Speaker for the International Conference of Pattern Recognition, in 2014.
